Chronicles of Darkness: Dark Eras 2 starts out presenting a chapter for each of six historical eras; each of which features two Chronicles of Darkness game lines which include Vampire: The Requiem, Mage: The Awakening, Hunter: The Vigil, Changeling: The Lost, and more! The rules in this book are compatible with second edition Chronicles of Darkness. Each terrifying time period and location is examined through the supernatural creatures that dwell there.

If you recall, last Update I laid out for you the process of shutting down the Backer data on BackerKit in preparation for giving our fulfillment shipper the info they need to ship your rewards. Here's where we are:
1. CONFIRM REWARDS - I'll be locking down all Reward Lists, so if you wanted to add any additional rewards, please do so by JULY 1, 2020. At that point, I will lock down all reward lists and you won't be able to adjust or add anything after that time.

2. CONFIRM ALL PAYMENT INFORMATION - For any additions you made in BackerKit, or any payments that did not process at the end of the Kickstarter campaign, please ensure your payment information is up to date, valid, and ready to be processed by JULY 15, 2020. On that date, I will instruct BackerKit to lock down and process all outstanding payments.

If you find yourself in an unusual circumstance or your residence unexpectedly changes between July 29th and the date I send out the shipping update, contact us to see what we can do at that time.

Onyx Path's latest game of cinema-inspired fun is They Came from Beyond the Grave! If you're a fan of Christopher Lee as Dracula, Roger Corman's creature features, Hammer horror films, or the Amicus movies, this game is for you.

Indulge in the cigarette smoke, despairing mood, and wide collars of the 1970s. Enjoy the rock and drugs entering the mainstream. What was counterculture is now simply culture. Maybe you favor the disco, or perhaps the punk scene is more your thing. Grow a mustache. Grow a whole beard! It’s no longer rebellious to wear hair or sideburns so long or skirts so short: it’s expected. Hitchhiking isn’t a death sentence yet. Or not quite. Everyone owns a car, and international travel has never felt so easy.
Prepare to trudge through the London fog, creep around unlit alleys, and get lost on misty moors as your deerstalker and long coat gets saturated from the rain apparently incessant throughout the 19th century depicted in the cinema. Prepare to catch a ride in a carriage and ask the driver why he’s going so fast through this part of the woods. Expect to knock on the door to an imposing castle, only to see the butler, far too pale of face, ask whether you’re here to see “the mistress.” The 19th century beckons you to play within its Victorian gothic mood. Start the game here or start it in the 1970s — whichever you prefer, They Came from Beyond the Grave! has monsters, stories, and encounters for whatever tale you wish to tell.

We are expecting to see proofs of the DE2 pages from the traditional printer today, which means I'm going to start the process for shutting down BackerKit including charging cards and locking addresses in preparation for shipping.

I just sent out the links to order your discounted Print on Demand physical copy of CofD Dark Eras 2. This is not the traditional printed edition that you pledged for, but the optional discounted Print on Demand version that goes with the traditionally printed version that you can choose to order if you want. Check out the listing of rewards in your reward tier if you're not sure if you should get the PoD links.
Please use one of the links only - either the Premium or the Standard color. DTRPG has examples of the differences between the two types on their site, but basically, Standard is less crisp and the color is less vivid. That's about it.
Since we are using our partners at DriveThruRPG as the host for this, you will need to set up a DriveThru account if you don't have one already.
If you encounter any problems with downloading your rewards, please contact DTRPG's customer service to resolve the matter, they've always been top-rated for customer service.
Since the links were sent out via BackerKit, they won't be connected to a Kickstarter email. Better still, even if you didn't get the message, like if a Spam filter ate them, the links are still in the Digital Downloads section of your DE2 BackerKit page.
The traditionally printed CofD DE2 book is currently being prepped to go to the traditional printer right now - we had to hold off sending the files out earlier as the printer was not yet ready to receive new work due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully, they can maintain full speed ahead from here on in.

Well, this has also been a most unusual month, with most of our creators at home with their families, whether working their day jobs or doing freelance stuff for us. All of us at Onyx Path hope that you are all keeping safe and healthy.

As you know, the final PDF version of Dark Eras 2 has been created, and we'll be putting the final PDF and the physical book PoD on sale at DTRPG in a month or so on 5/13.
We are also going to be offering PDFs of the individual chapters as we understand that some folks that have been sequestering may not be able to afford the full PDF. Not so much big news for all of you who backed and received the full book PDF, but hopefully this will give other folks a chance to experience the CofD!
We'll also be sending the files for the physical book you backed to the traditional printers (who just let me know that they are operating at normal capacity again) around that time.
As we get closer, you can watch the progress with these monthly Updates, or weekly on my Monday Meeting Notes Blog on our Onyx Path website. When we get really close to shipping, in a few months after all the manufacturing is finished, you'll get notifications of us shutting down the BackerKit site in stages.
